Since October, this lone female wolf, who has some distinctive facial/chest markings, has been hanging out in the Whiskey Point Pack territory. She has never been with another wolf or the Whiskey Point Pack in any video. But we have captured some neat footage of her including her howling, checking out the camera, and traveling with a beaver tail in her mouth and an engorged stomach (almost certainly after killing a beaver). Wolves are often seen in photographs and media but can be hard to identify in the wild due to their similarity to other Canids. At the Center, we've captured trail cam footage of wolves, coyotes, and foxes, highlighting their unique features. Gray wolves have long legs, broad muzzles, and rounded ears.
