The Mount Wilson hike via Chantry Flats and Winter Creek is about 14 miles round trip, with big elevation gains. At the top, you’ll reach the historic Mount Wilson Observatory—once home to some of the world’s largest telescopes—so it’s a great mix of a tough hike and a connection to astronomy.
