Do I keep the dahlias in the ground or do I lift them now for the winter? I get asked this question A LOT(!) around this time of year. In New Zealand we tend to lift them in the North Island as they are at risk of getting overly wet and rotting, while in the South Island they often get lifted because the frost will reduce them to mush.
