The #opossum in the clinic was a tad shy to eat infront of anyone today.. opossums are generally shy and non-aggressive creatures that prefer to avoid confrontation. They are gentle marsupials whose primary defense mechanisms are to scare potential threats away by hissing and showing their teeth, or to "play dead" (go into a state of tonic immobility) if they feel truly cornered.
