A historical Navy A-7 Corsair is craned on the USS Midway Museum According to USS Midway Museum, this 50-year-old A-7 is on loan to the USS Midway Museum from the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida. Our Corsair was manufactured by Goodyear in April of 1945. The aircraft was delivered to Marine Squadron VMF-115, part of Marine Air Group 12, at Moret Field near Zamboanga on Mindanao (Philippines). From June 7th to August 29th, 1945, our aircraft took part in more than 30 combat missions, performing bombing runs, napalm strikes, and rocket attacks.
