We love giant tree dahlia and grow it most years just for the height and foliage, but this year our long warm fall season resulted in a pretty good flower show. In the wild, Dahlia imperialis can reach 30 feet tall, but our plant rarely exceeds 8-9 feet. A sunny, well-drained location is best. We shot this video last Tuesday, before the frost.
