Day 3 making a sourdough starter! How’s everyone’s starter today? Mine doubled in size, smells a little stinky (like throw up tbh) and has some bubbles. Just because it doubled does not mean it’s active. It probably won’t double in size again for a while. Do not get discouraged this is very normal. Day 3 and beyond- discard down to 10 grams of starter. Put it in a clean jar if it is dirty. Add 10 grams of unbleached all purpose flour and 10 grams whole wheat or rye to the jar.
