The 2023 Fred Whitton Challenge sponsored by Wheelbase took place yesterday under blue skies and on dry roads, taking in the most iconic climbs in the Lake District including Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott, Wrynose and Blea Tarn. The demanding 112 mile route which includes 3,000 metres of elevation can be rightfully described as Britain’s toughest cycling sportive and each and every rider who completed it should be incredibly proud of their achievement! #wheelbasefredwhitto
