The only snake in Florida I won’t grab or tail with my hands is the Dusky Pygmy Rattlesnake. It’s not because of their toxicity, it’s because how small and fast they are and often very defensive and quick to bite. These snakes bite the most people of any snake in Florida, partially because how common they are and their close proximity to people.
