The simpler English name is usually referred to as the common name, but every species also has a scientific name. Even though it is often more enchanting to use common names, there’s nothing about scientific names to be afraid of… except maybe how bad our pronunciation is! Scientific names usually have Latin or Greek roots that describe something about the species. For example, the pine woods tree
