Whilst at Beddgelert a few days ago we stopped to watch the Welsh Highland Railway pull away from the station. An interesting engine set up and I've I've not seen before. A steam engine with what looked like a smaller diesel booster engine up front. The terrain with it's inclines and decents dictate extra power Any engineer and enthusiast folk, please enlighten us as to the specifics of this amazing loco.
