Congratulations to the AHS Marching Band for making school history at the Bands of America competition this past weekend! For the first time ever, AHS made finals after competing against some of the top bands in the country. There were 15 bands from Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. A veteran firefighter in Arlington County is breaking barriers as she rises through the ranks. Tiffanye Wesley is the first African American woman named deputy fire chief in all of Northern Virginia.
