September 7, 1985: On this day 39 years ago, the Florida Gators defeated the Miami Hurricanes 35-23. Florida quarterback Kerwin Bell threw 4 touchdown passes, including 2 to receiver Ricky Nattiel to rally the Gators in the fourth quarter in front of a then record crowd of 80,227 at the Orange Bowl.
