Problems with smart fasteners - DASSAULT: SOLIDWORKS 3D …
Oct 13, 2004 · I am having some trouble with Smart Fasteners (SF). I have a plate with 2 tapped holes in it. The plate has 2 configurations (right hand side and left hand side). The holes are the same size and positions in both configs. The way I created 2 holes was this: I created one hole using Hole Wizard and then feature patterned it to get the second hole.

The whole process is very graphic and interactive and you can do quite some smart stuff with it. (you can watch plenty of videos on youtube about power query in excel).

Two of the gurus in this forum have instilled the confidence I needed to argue my corner with confidence – other colleagues have insisted that you never change the tolerance during modelling, that never made sense to me, if the option is available it must be there to be used.

But if your not using CCV, create you reflect line, extrude or sweep your runout surfaces, then trim to the original part surf to your runout surfaces twice (1 for core, 1 for cav.) Personally, I keep part data datum, join them all then do my pl, when i need to update the data, i just swap out the surfaces of join i need and everything updates.

Nov 19, 2011 · Hi, You can use project curve inside sketch (for projecting curves,edges,face,points etc).Also since NX gives you an option of choosing entities outside the sketch (work model) through it's selection filter so you can draw sketch curves and take reference of these entities at the same time without even projecting or converting.
