Jul 14, 2023 · This issue might be the death of Instagram for me. I don't know why Meta removed the ability to see recent posts, but it means I do not have the ability to find other people who are not paying bots or who are famous etc etc. Besides "recent" I would also like to search "random", so I can see photos not funnelled through Meta's algorithms.

Jun 24, 2022 · This account has 2M followers, I follow it, and typing out the full second half of the @ doesn’t pull it up in search? Come on I also can’t find a good way to search only the accounts which I follow (not all accounts on insta), and I’ve noticed that the search results don’t prioritize accounts I follow, which seems wrong to me.

Jul 4, 2023 · Try to search for accounts beginning with the same letter(s) like these accounts, and click on those suggestions. After a while, Instagram will show them first. Or simply block them, and you'll never have to think about them again.

Dec 23, 2023 · Search for something you're interested in, filter out a few reels you like. Then you go on share, copy the link on a few reels that you like. Close Instagram for a few hours and when you're back, your algorithm should start working fine.

Mar 29, 2023 · I'm late but if you see suggested for you on Instagram. The person clicked your profile to view your profile pic, pictures in general, your IG story, or highlights. If someone says suggested for you they were pretty much attempting to stalk you or view your profile without you noticing - they might find you interesting, attractive or just curious.

It's super disappointing. What made Instagram what it was in the first place (the hashtags and photos) are completely useless now. I can't even search topics properly anymore, even if they're from bigger accounts. Now it's all super random things. Nearly all of the search tabs, especially 'Tags', are useless buttons at this point.

Jan 6, 2021 · there's a chrome extension, click to remove element, you can remove any part of a website, on the Instagram page I removed the explore button, and the friends recommendation section, I don't have the app on my phone and I keep an Instagram account just to keep in touch with friends that live far away, without the mindless scrolling.
