Justin Brooks Verlander (/ ˈvɜːrlændɜːr / VUR-land-ur; born February 20, 1983) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, and New York Mets.
