The phone agent said they no longer offer the service….but I kept pressing, including the fact that my husband couldn’t use the remote and that their accessibility access was a real problem.

Feb 12, 2015 · As you can see, it is a PDI-8 which was installed by the Verizon tech that did the coax connection at the ONT (and brought the cablecards) and is rated from 5 to 1675 MHz. Each port of an 8 way splitter introduces 12.5db of attenuation, so I have a total of 18.5db attenuation between my ONT and the TiVos (plus whatever the cable adds).

Dec 27, 2010 · To not mess up with the Quantum router, I simply connected the coax from ONT to the Bolt, and then Ethernet cable from Bolt to router. I already had internet provided to the Quantum Gateway via Ethernet. Installed Verizon FIOS a little over a month ago, and they connected both coax and Cat5e from a brand new GPON ONT to the router.

Aug 24, 2024 · Verizon is moving away from cable cards and offering streaming options to new customers. My brother just signed up for Verizon and there is no longer coax and cable box being offered. It's a streaming box. Do a Google search on the subject and there's a lot of discussion that supports Verizon moving away from their current system of cable card use.

Jan 15, 2023 · I'm on Verizon Fios in Pittsburgh with 2 TiVo Bolts and cable cards. Yes they charge a monthly fee. (I currently pay $9.95 per month per card so if you need 2 cards the. $20 is about right) I do like their service but frustrated with their pricing. I've tried Comcast but their picture is just not as crisp as the Fios service.
