Quick Facts about Karl; Karl is currently 18 years old; Won the US Kids World Junior Championships at Ages 7 & 9, and the Callaway Junior World Championships (since renamed the IMG Junior Worlds) at ages 10 and 12. Karl's Men's Handicap each year has been as follows; Age 7: No Handicap yet. Age 8 1/2: 26.0 (original handicap at 8 Years & 4 months)

Occasionaly we get asked why we have companies supporting Karl. Although entry level golf is now affordable for young kids, to go down the route of seeing just how good they can be (as Rory McIlroy did) becomes quite expensive.

Question: Are there too many "World Championships" for kids? Answer: Yes. My main concern is protecting the integrity of junior tournaments and the increasing promotion of them as either a "World Championship" or "World Masters" or whatever, as should the term be used in association with a tournament, then there needs to be a minimum criteria …

So while one of his club-mates who was a year older than him and who Karl competed against at the 2011 Callaway Junior World Championships dominated that 9-hole series winning numerous trophies and prizes, Karl was faced with having to compete against some of Australia's best 13 & 14 year olds to win anything.

Karl's Driver is shortened by 3 inches and only stands as tall as his chest, yet he still pumps his Drives 220 +/-. So, how does Karl hit his shortened Driver further than most lads with full length Drivers? Answer: Technique. Karl is able to generate a lot more club-head speed because his Driver is shorter.
