New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone revealed that infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. could miss roughly four to six weeks with an oblique injury, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. The Yankees announced Friday that they placed Chisholm on the 10-day injured list with a right oblique strain, retroactive to Wednesday.

During spring training, Yankees reliever Tyler Matzek was shut down after his first Grapefruit League outing on Feb. 25 with a moderate-to-severe oblique strain and didn’t pitch again until starting a rehab assignment on April 6. The lefty was optioned to Triple-A on April 9 and recalled by the Yankees on April 22.

Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday because of a strained right oblique, three days after getting hurt during a swing in a game at the Baltimore Orioles.
