The National Hurricane Center has issued advisories for Potential Tropical Cyclone 18, an area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms in the Caribbean Sea.A

National Hurricane Center forecasters said a disturbance in the Caribbean Sea has an 80% chance of forming into a tropical depression or storm within the next two days.

This past weekend, Potential Tropical Cyclone Eighteen formed in the Caribbean Sea. As of Monday morning, this system has strengthened into a tropical depression with sustained winds of 35 miles per hour and is located just to the south of Jamaica.
