Terence Stamp, the Oscar-nominated British actor known for his roles in "Superman" and "Billy Budd," died Sunday, his family confirmed to Reuters. He was 87.
Stamp explained that his father's disapproval gave him "the energy" he needed to follow his dreams. He left home so he wouldn't "go against my dad" and went on to won a scholarship to the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
