In an email Friday, Denver city spokesman Jon Ewing quipped, “And here we thought the Trump Administration didn’t like lists!”

Federal courts are currently weighing several lawsuits brought by the Trump administration against jurisdictions on the sanctuary list. In February, Portland joined a lawsuit with several other cities to fight the executive order and prevent funding cuts based on local sanctuary laws.

The Trump administration this week published a new list of so-called sanctuary jurisdictions, and this time the inventory has far fewer names nationally and in Oregon. Both Oregon and the city of Portland appear on the new list. But gone are 18 cities and counties in Oregon that appeared on a different federal map about two months ago.
