Russia has started evacuating citizens from Lebanon and a special flight left Beirut on Thursday with the family members of Russian diplomats, Emergencies Minister Alexander Kurenkov said. About 60 people will arrive in Russia from Lebanon on Thursday,

A day earlier, Germany evacuated 130 “particularly vulnerable” citizens from Lebanon, its foreign ministry said. That flight also delivered five tons of humanitarian aid for civilians in Lebanon, according to the ministry.

Approximately 60 individuals are expected to arrive in Russia from Lebanon, following directives from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Meanwhile, at least 99 Palestinian deaths were reported in just the past 24 hours.
