A new low-pressure area (LPA) may enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) this Friday night or Saturday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The state weather bureau noted that the LPA has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
