It's uncertain how long the Dodgers will keep Betts batting first, but it is believed that manager Dave Roberts will continue to have it that way until Max Muncy returns from a knee bruise (h/t Sonja Chen of MLB.com).

Betts, an eight-time All-Star who has won three World Series, was left off the NL All-Star team this year as he's struggling through his worst season as a professional. Betts started the season dealing with a mystery illness and then fractured a toe going to the bathroom.

Considering how much the Dodgers have struggled lately, they'll need every bit of Shohei Ohtani's talent on the mound and at the plate as he continues to build up as a pitcher.
