Phillies reliever Jhoan Duran was carted off the field on Friday evening at Nationals Park after he took a 94.1 mph line drive off the bat of Paul DeJong to his right foot/ankle area in the ninth and was unable to put pressure on it.

The Philadelphia Phillies announced that X-rays on the foot of closer Jhoan Durán were negative on Friday night, per Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Duran, 27, was acquired from the Minnesota Twins prior to the July 31 trade deadline. He has been electric in his two weeks with the Phillies, throwing four scoreless innings with four strikeouts. For the season, Duran has a 1.86 ERA with 20 saves in 53 1/3 innings.
