President Trump alleged from the Oval Office Monday that Gov. Moore said Trump is “the greatest president of my lifetime” during their brief meeting at the Army-Navy game in December.

In a speech last week, Moore suggested the president visit Maryland’s biggest city and “walk our streets and not just talk about us from the Oval Office,” as he touted cutting the violent crime rate and reducing the number of vacant homes throughout the city.

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore is pushing back against President Donald Trump’s claims about crime in Baltimore and his suggestion that federal troops could be sent to the city, saying local partnerships are showing results and that he will not authorize the Maryland National Guard for policing.
