Law & Crime reports the DOJ told a three-judge panel that President Donald Trump’s federalization of militia can’t be second-guessed by the courts, not even if the president mobilizes forces from all 50 states and Washington,

In a high stakes virtual hearing in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the DOJ argued that Trump lawfully exercised his executive power when he sent soldiers to help protect federal officers and buildings in Los Angeles protests over immigration enforcement.

DOJ attorneys argued that courts cannot deny the president's ability to federally enlist militia to justify deploying the National Guard against protestors in Los Angeles.
