Impossible – The Final Reckoning posted the biggest opening for a US film in the country this year, defying trade and geopolitical tensions between Washington and Beijing.

Tom Cruise and Jason Statham, whose movies have grossed multiple billions of dollars worldwide, have been locked in a box office battle for a decade.

The Final Reckoning sees a midweek boost at the Indian box office with Rs 1.43 crore on Day 19, nearing the Rs 100 crore benchmark.
