Two days after being traded from the Florida Panthers, veteran goaltender Spencer Knight made 41 saves in his first game with his new team, helping the Chicago Blackhawks defeat the Los Angeles Kings 5-1 on Monday night at United Center.

Spencer Knight was once considered the goaltender of the future for one NHL franchise. Now he plans to make a case as the goaltender of the future for another, and he got right to work with the Blackhawks.

Spencer Knight stopped 41 shots in his team debut and Ilya Mikheyev and Ryan Donato each tallied a goal and assist to lift the host Chicago Blackhawks to a 5-1 win against the slumping Los Angeles Kings on Monday.

Spencer Knight, from Darien, CT, led the Chicago Blackhawks to a victory over the LA Kings in his first game with the team since a trade.
