There’s a new tropical storm in the Atlantic Ocean, and two other disturbances that have a shot to get names as well. The National Hurricane Center named Tropical Storm Dexter late Sunday while it was several hundred miles off the coast of North Carolina. Dexter is headed away from the United States, however.

Tropical Storm Dexter, the fourth named storm of the season, formed Sunday night as two other disturbances move in the Atlantic Ocean, according to the National Hurricane Center. None of the systems pose an immediate threat to Louisiana.

"After a flurry of tropical storms in late June and early July, the Atlantic tropics were rather quiet for the last three weeks. That has changed over the weekend with the formation of the fourth named storm in the Atlantic (Dexter,
