Voters in Nebraska narrowly approved a measure that leaves in place abortion restrictions Tuesday, as the state, South Dakota and Florida became the first states since Roe v. Wade was overturned where ballot measures broke against abortion rights—though seven other states voted to protect reproductive rights, including Arizona.

Florida’s voters were asked whether the state’s constitution should say that “no law shall prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion before viability or when necessary to protect the patient’s health, as determined by the patient’s healthcare provider.”
