A 14-year-old boy shot and killed a teenage girl in Driftwood on Tuesday, according to the Hays County Sheriff's Office.

Acting on information about a juvenile girl being shot and killed and a woman reporting her daughter missing, authorities found a 14-year-old's body.

DRIFTWOOD, Texas - A teen girl was killed by a 14-year-old boy in Driftwood, the sheriff's office said. According to the Hays County Sheriff's Office, on Tuesday, Jan. 28, around 4 p.m., deputies responded to a call reporting suspicious circumstances at a home on Canna Lily Circle in Driftwood.

Upon arrival, deputies said they were able to determine that a 14-year-old boy had fired a weapon, striking a girl who resided in the same home.
