Michigan hockey may have split their series against Ohio State over the weekend, but the No. 9-ranked Wolverines still had plenty to celebrate after their trip to the Windy City for the opening game of an outdoor Big Ten hockey event.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State men’s hockey has begun the year with a bang. The No. 13 Buckeyes beat No. 9 Michigan at Wrigley Field, 4-3, with a last-minute goal on Friday night. The game was part of The Frozen Confines series, which will feature three Big Ten men’s games and one women’s game.

The Wisconsin men's and women's hockey teams suffered tough losses Saturday night, but playing outdoors at Wrigley Field left smiles on their faces.
