A Lapeer County man is still going to buy one Powerball ticket a week after winning $1 million on the game in December. Robert Benaglio of Dryden purchased a ticket that matched the five white balls drawn Dec. 23 — 22, 42, 44, 57 and 64 — according to the Michigan Lottery.

(CBS DETROIT) - A burst of confetti seen on the Michigan Lottery app was the cheer that let a Wayne County man know he won over $1 million. The 57-year-old man chose to remain anonymous as he went through the lottery winner claim process for his Lotto 74 jackpot. Michigan Lottery officials reported his story Wednesday.

More than 730,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the lottery said. The Powerball jackpot had not been hit since Dec. 7, when a New York player won the $256 million grand prize, lottery officials said.
