The training for U.S. military helicopter pilots is getting heightened attention following a midair collision between an Army Black Hawk helicopter and a passenger jet outside Washington, D.C.

The growing Wallenpaupack Aeronautical Science & Aviation program has added a donated Boeing 737 cockpit simulator.

A highlight of the course is the opportunity for students to use a state-of-the-art flight simulator to hone their skills.

By their junior year, students can choose a specific pathway, such as piloting, engineering, mechanics, or droning.
