For almost a century, golfers and fans associated team play with international competitions, such as the Ryder Cup or Solheim Cup. LIV Golf has since changed that. When it launched in 2022, the Saudi-backed circuit incorporated a team element.

While that has mostly been negative, the golf world has seen one major positive over the last month, and that's been the debut of the TGL, or "Tomorrow's Golf League," a venture spearheaded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

All matches will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+ on Monday or Tuesday nights, and take place at the 1,500-seat SoFi Center on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. ESPN's Scott Van Pelt will lead the television coverage.
