The “Charlie Brown Christmas” soundtrack turned out to be a perennial best-seller for Fantasy Records, whose vaults contained most of the original recordings, also on quarter-inch tape.

The documentary never aired on TV due to failure to obtain a distribution deal, but the soundtrack was released as an album called “Jazz Impressions of a Boy Named Charlie Brown” in 1964.
