ACUSHNET — Local and state investigators said they believe yesterday’s fatal fire at 34 Garfield St. was accidental but could not rule out multiple potential factors, said officials.

An Acushnet house fire that left an elderly couple dead Christmas morning was most likely accidental but the exact cause of the blaze is undetermined, fire officials said in a press release Thursday.
