Miles Bridges ruled out after leaving Hornets' game vs. Bucks in first quarter with ankle injury
The injury occurred early in the first quarter as Bridges tried to fight through a screen set by Myles Turner and stepped awkwardly on his right foot before falling to the floor. He stayed in the game, but then appeared to hurt it again as he closed out on a 3-point attempt by Gary Trent Jr. and landed on his right foot and came up hobbling.
Losing Bridges is a massive blow for a Hornets team that's already down another starting forward in Kon Knueppel (ankle). Tidjane Salaun and Josh Green are expected to see an uptick in playing time with Bridges sidelined. The veteran forward will aim to return for the Hornets' next game against the Warriors on Wednesday.
Knueppel was sidelined on Monday in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks with a right ankle sprain suffered on Friday against the Orlando Magic. He was ruled out of returning after logging 15 minutes, recording 16 points, three rebounds and one assist in the win.
