Alex New was extradited from Florida last year after eluding authorities for nearly a decade following criminal sexual conduct charges.

On Tuesday, the disclosure statement submitted by the Archdiocese of New Orleans was approved by the bankruptcy court, officially allowing the voting period to open for the settlement plan.
