Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes have been on fire in the NCAA transfer portal, following a successful 2024 college football season. The Hurricanes finished the season with a 10-3 record and a 6-2 mark in ACC play.

Bauman, who spent his first three seasons at Tulane, is ranked as the No. 8 overall tight end available in the portal by 247Sports. The 6-5, 245-pound Bauman has caught 63 passes for 610 yards and 13 touchdowns throughout his tenure at Tulane. That includes 20 catches for 212 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior last season.

Miami's season didn't end on a high note, but a major transfer addition on Friday is good news for head coach Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes.

They also suffered a bowl game loss to Iowa State. On Tuesday, Miami received more unfortunate news, losing a starter to the NCAA transfer portal. According to Matt Zenitz at 247Sports, defensive back Jaden Harris entered the transfer portal just days after the Pop-Tarts Bowl loss to the Cyclones.
