Nico Hulkenberg has been disqualified from the Brazilian Grand Prix after a black flag infringement during the rain-soaked race.

After periodically re-entering the race, Hulkenberg was disqualified during the red flag break after Franco Colapinto crashed hard into the barriers. In doing so, he became the first driver to receive the black flag since Giancarlo Fisichella at the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix.

Nico Hulkenberg received a black flag at Interlagos during the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix, that meant he was not allowed to continue to compete. The German had to go the stewards as well after the chequered flag was waved.
