SHIGA, Japan (AP) — Hana Wakimoto shot a 4-under 68 on Friday to maintain her lead after the second round of the LPGA’s Toto Japan Classic. The Japanese player shot a 63 in the opening round and continues to set the pace with a 13-under-par total of 131 after 36 holes.

Hana Wakimoto of Japan matched a tournament record with a bogey-free 9-under-par 63 on Thursday to seize a two-stroke lead after the first round of the Toto Classic in Shiga, Japan. Starting on the 10th hole at Seta Golf Course, Wakimoto hit 15 of 18 fairways and recorded her ninth birdie on the final hole to cap the best round of her career.
