England made history by becoming the country's first national soccer team across the men's and women's game to win a tournament on foreign soil with the penalty shootout victory against world champion Spain in Basel on Sunday.

The England women's soccer team have returned home on Monday to a heroes' welcome following their Euro 2025 triumph, with government ministers hosting a reception to mark a victory hailed as an inspiration for young people across the nation.

England partied with 65,000 fans (and Burna Boy) outside Buckingham Palace after winning Euro 2025. But they already have one eye on the World Cup.
