Victims, gunman in Elkhart Martin's shooting identified

The shootings occurred barely 11 years after a Jan. 15, 2014, shooting in which a 20-year-old gunman killed an employee and a shopper at the Martin's on East Bristol Street. The gunman in that case had forced a store manager to his knees and may have been about to kill him when Elkhart police arrived and killed the gunman.
On Friday morning, the Baugo Township Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, units witnessed a structure heavily engulfed in flames.
There was no immediate word on what prompted the gunfire, but investigators said there was no threat to the public.
