It's a time of celebration in India on the occasion of New Year's Eve. To ensure the celebrations happen smoothly, police in major cities including New Delhi and Mumbai have imposed certain restrictions on the movement of traffic.

Delhi Police has made elaborated traffic arrangements and restrictions across the national capital, especially at Connaught Place, and deployed nearly 20,000 police and paramilitary personnel in the city on the eve of New Year celebration to maintain law and order.

As part of the New Year's preparations, several roads in South Mumbai will be closed, and parking will be prohibited in some places. Notably, the Mumbai Coastal Road will remain open for vehicular traffic between 11 pm on December 31 and 11 pm on January 1.

Delhi Police has announced traffic measures for New Year's Eve. The advisory includes restrictions around Connaught Place, limited parking, and adjusted metro timings. Vehicles without valid passes will be restricted,

The Delhi Traffic Police will have the manpower of around 2,500 personnel to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles.
