Tottenham are closing in on the loan signing of João Palhinha with the Bayern Munich midfielder set to undergo a medical on Friday, the PA news agency understands.

Tottenham are closing in on a loan move for Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha. Talks between the clubs are at an advanced stage, with an agreement in principle in place. An agreement over personal terms is unlikely to pose a problem and the deal is set to carry an option for the 30-year-old to make the transfer permanent.

Palhinha was Fulham’s player of the season in his debut campaign at Craven Cottage and made 79 appearances in total for the club. Before his move to the Premier League, he had spent the entirety of his senior career in Portugal with Sporting CP and had several loan spells elsewhere.
