Game Science has announced that its 2024 GOTY contender, Black Myth: Wukong, is coming to Xbox Series X this summer. It’ll drop on Aug. 20, exactly one year to the day after it launched on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC last year.

Wukong will launch on Xbox Series X|S one year after its release on PS5 and PC, but with a 20% discount on all versions. Better late than never. That’s what Xbox players are thinking after the surprise announcement that Black Myth: Wukong is coming to Microsoft consoles — even though it once seemed the Monkey King’s adventure by Game Science would remain a PlayStation 5 console exclusive forever.

After a year delay, Black Myth: Wukong will release on Xbox Series X|S on 20th August. This is pertinent because it’s exactly one year after the game originally launched on PS5 and PC, raising questions of “ secret ” console exclusivity all over again.
