A man is in custody after police say he deliberately crashed into a tanker truck, causing a fire and the closure of a West Valley intersection.

Glendale officials say a crash that led to a hazardous situation occurred when a driver intentionally crashed into a tanker truck Wednesday morning.

A midsized sedan collided with the right rear of an oxygen tanker truck on Feb. 12, said John Chester, a Glendale Fire Department spokesperson.
